KEEN is a national, nonprofit volunteer-led organization that provides one-to-one recreational opportunities for children and young adults with mental and physical disabilities at no cost to their families and caregivers.

Now in our third year of operations, KEEN Kansas City relies on grant funds, individual and business contributions, partnerships, special events, and community fundraising efforts to financially support our programs. Athlete participate completely free of charge.

Here are some fantastic ways that your business or community group can get involved and show your support for KEEN Kansas City

First and foremost, KEEN is always recruiting new volunteers. KEEN is a volunteer-led organization and relies on our volunteer coaches to pair up with our athletes at each session. If you are a member of an organization, school, or church group and enjoy fundraising for a good cause, take a look at our "Coins for KEEN" drive. KEEN offers this easy opportunity for community members to get organized and start collecting. Do you work for a company that does not normally let workers wear jeans? Do you go to school where you can organize a "Hat Day" or "Pajama Day" to show your school spirit? You can start a "Casual for KEEN" day and raise money to support KEEN. Staff will help you setup a fundraising event to have fun at your business or school. Do you have a church group, after school program, or scout group interested in raising money for a local nonprofit. Your group can organize a "KEEN Car Wash" to raise money and support KEEN Programs.
