As Executive Director, she is responsible for the day-to-day management of the KEEN Kansas City Group and its programs, which includes working with KEEN's athletes, families, and volunteers. Angel is a native of Central Missouri. She and her son moved to the Kansas City area in 2002 to locate resources and supports for autism. In addition to KEEN Kansas City, Angel is involved and collaborates with a number of community agencies that support individuals on the autism spectrum disorders within the Kansas City Area. Her many roles past/present have included behavior therapist, education consultant, social skills facilitator, camp facilitator, and parent liaison.
