Sports Nutz

Pete Catalano was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. As young as he can remember, he has had a passion for the Kansas City Chiefs. After starting a family, he traveled coast to coast for 22 years representing major food companies such as McCain Foods and Lamb Weston. As a National Account Manager, he sold to customers such as Wendy's International, Burger King, and Applebee's International. While traveling, he started selling Chiefs goods at street fairs. This lead up to the opening of the first Sports Nutz in 1992 on 40 Highway and Blue Ridge Cutoff at 27 years of age. Involved in the community, he found ways to bring the Chiefs players and their fans together. Pete and Sports Nutz have hosted a player signing on every Saturday before home games and provided face painting the day of each game.

Pete has been involved in many benefits and charities including: Toys for Tots, Sports Radio 810 Charity Golf, Hicks for Hearts, and Third and Long Foundation. He received the Haake Community Service Award as well as many other local and regional acknowledgments. Pete not only finds providing and supporting entertainment for all the people of the Greater Kansas City area an accomplishment, but he also finds the experience satisfying as an individual and citizen.
